Comedians that can actually act - Blu-ray Forum

I love it when comedians break their normal routine to do a different or serious role, and I was wondering if anyone could recommend me some other films.

All I have seen:

Adam Sandler: Punch Drunk Love, Reign over Me
Jim Carrey: Eternal Sunshine, Truman Show
Robin Williams: One Hour Photo, Insomnia

Eric Bana - Munich
Michael Keaton - Jackie Brown
Tom Hanks - Saving Private Ryan/Green Mile

These obviously aren't their only dramatic roles, but my favorite ones.

They all came from comedy on TV into comedic movie roles before broadening, so I would say yes to that.

And as far as Dane Cook goes, even if he was a bit funny he has not been in one half decent movie.

Adam Sandler was great in Reign over Me. I was VERY impressed with his acting in the movie.
