Default green stripe?!?!

hello i am new to blu-ray...i just got a Memorex MVBD2510C and it is hooked up via HDMI to a Philips flat screen LCD hdtv. when i first turn on the player it is fine but after about 30 seconds a green stripe appears on the far right side of the screen and stays there when its playing a dvd or if its in the menu...i have messed with the resolution and the aspect and still cant get this green line to go away...

any ideas and/or any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

the person in this thread has a similar problem as yourself:

Help requested with Samsung BD-P1500

Seems they too have a Phillips HDTV, so Im wondering if this is a defect, or just a setting issue?

this was my response, maybe you can chime in:

are there any settings to adjust the positioning of the picture? is there a setting for 1:1 pixel mapping?
