I walked out of Knocked Up after 30 minutes. Didnt ask for a refund because it was my decision to risk the viewing.

I walked out of The Ring (the only movie I've ever walked out on) because a group of teenagers were being obnoxious and talking during the first 30 minutes. I asked for and received a refund.

Even though it was mostly a bunch of garbage, I went with option b.
That to me is a gimme, bad or messed up sound? I'm outta there.

Walked out on "The Great White Hype", Samuel L. Jackson's "boxing masterpiece". Luckly though a friend of mine worked at the theatre, and it was free.

It's probably because he read the book.
If you read the book, you would more than likely agree.

I wish they could get beowulf right someday.

Only had a few problems with Movie Theatres(power outage, screaming brats, etc.),I was treated very kind by the management team and was given refund/passes!!! NO MORE,I JUST WATCH BLU RAYS/DVD's ON MY LARGE HDTV,IT'S THE BEST SEAT IN THE HOUSE,NO GAS TO GET THERE,NO CRAPPY OVERPRICED CONCESSIONS,AND I GOT THE PUASE/STOP BUTTON,YOU KNOW POTTY BREAK,AND I DONT MISS A THING!!! The way things are going I beleive Movie Thaeters will be a dinosaur in the near future(sorry AMC,Regal,Multiplex)but I could be wrong!!! It's much better to wait for 2 to 3 months and buy/rent the Blu or DVD,and any projection problems are on me,and the food is much better at the homefront! MOVIE THEATERS ARE JUST NOT THE SAME ANYMORE!!!

Add me to the camp that believes you shouldn't be refunded or compensated just because you think the movie you saw sucked. Now it's a totally different story if there were technical difficulties or someone was being so annoying you couldn't pay attention to the film. I myself have never asked for a refund before or walked out of a movie.

OMG! I just remembered one of my all time horror story/walkouts. Once and a while I go into NYC, living only a 45 minute train ride away is sweet. Alot of movies start there first, then dribble there way down to Long Island (where I live)Went to see "Buddy Boy" with an old gf....after the credits were done and the lights went down a rat ran across my seat!!! I never jumped so high in my life.

Last year i went to see Narnia prince caspian and the stupid projector burnt a hole right thru the film had to refund my ticket with free passes
also hate rowdy people screaming at the screen or how loud the speakers are

Don't understand why theatres waste their time with film reels

I wont say it was a bad movie. Its my fault for going. I hate that type of comedy and thought that maybe my tastes had evolved. I was wrong...still hate it. I am also in the minority for hating "There's Something About Mary".

What? Being messed up was a requirement for a midnight showing of Rocky Horror in the '70s.

21 times here.

The only three successful walkouts I've ever had are:

1.) Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - It wasn't going well for either me or my brother. The breaking point was the so-called jungle chase with Mutt Williams as king of the badly-rendered monkeys. When we got home I had to watch the truck chase from Raiders to attempt to flush the venom from my system. To this day I haven't seen the finale and I never will.

2.) Quantum of Solace - I did a walkout pretty early on. I just hated the action direction and the story wasn't really engaging as well. A few weeks later I decided to give it a second shot and stayed through the whole movie. It didn't improve. Actually I thought less of it after seeing it all the way through.
3.) Dead Man's Chest - I wasn't in the best of moods the day I went to see it. Also there were so many people around me talking, coughing and snickering that I just gave up and walked out. When the DVD came I gave it a second chance and ended up enjoying it a lot more than the first time. After all, I now own the complete trilogy on Blu-Ray.
I allmost walked out during the opening credits. The song was kiiiiiillllllling me. It lasted forever and suuuuuuuuucked. I made it through the whole flick. Stunk.

"There's Something About Mary" was the first film i saw at the movies that almost got me into fist fight! At the "franks and beans" part I laughed so hard that I slammed my hands on the side in front of me and smacked the (rather big dude's head instead) I thought he was going to kill me! He gf talked him down.....close one.
