I do see your point about The Terminator movies, but the whole story does revolve around time travel, even though the movies take place almost entirely in the present.

Back in the 80's there was a show on TV called Voyagers, don't know if anyone can remember it but it was pretty good this was way before Quantun Leap.

As for movie all the movies mention before I'll have to agree with but Back To The Future takes the cake.

I wanna vote for the Star Trek: TNG episode: All Good Things, it was 2 hours long so you could kind of consider it a TV movie.

Jon-Erik Hexum starred in Voyagers. Unfortunately, he died in a freak firearms accident during the filming of Cover Up his next TV series.

Way back before Voyagers there was The Time Tunnel, late 60s I believe.

I didn't see Millennium listed, maybe not the best time travel movie, but it was a good concept: change the future by borrowing from the past in the present that was a future.

The short story is also called "The Sound of Thunder" It's also credited as the most republished science fiction story of all time, so is available in quite a few short story collections.

Here There Be Tygers was another of Bradbury's short stories, about travel to another planet to find resources or something.

Jeez...I thought I was the only one who remember this show..I have never seen this show since they yanked it off the air.

Nope, remembered quite well at the time. Thought that Hexum was a really good and talented actor. I was really distressed about the freak accident that ended his life.

Yep, it was a really good concept for a show and Hexum at the time was good and could have been better if the accident didn't happen

Lots of great titles named in this thread! Funny how many "time travel" type movies there are!

My favorite, hands down is the Back to the Future Trilogy.

For the sappy, romantic type (who doesn't mind some pretty awful acting at times), there was a movie from 1980 called Somewhere in Time with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour.

A unique film... that unfortunately has been lost with all the Anti-Ape sentiment towards the sequels.

Escape is a solid mini-classic. Planet (1968) remains the best, obviously. But Escape is well-worth the rental. And that ending... is amazing.
