Lightbulb If you could travel time would you....

... do things differently. I've often hoped such a thing.

If I could travel the future, I'd bring back proof that blu-ray won the format war. I'd also buy the movie releases I want but are not out, and get the latest firmware upgrade. Maybe a new TV too. Depends on what I could carry. I'll be sure to let us do a group buy for Transformers on blu-ray.

If I could go back in time 15 or 20 years, I'd warn myself (and my anal compulsive spentthrift brother) about making any serious investment in VHS or DVD. But I would be inclined to bring myself a VHS/DVD combo with a good number of titles I could not see for another 10 years along with some classics.

Then I would tell myself and family about upsetting the time line if they ever reveal this to anyone, thus not being able to come back and give more stuff. Siiiigh.

What would you do?

go into the future, find out who wins the next super bowl, bet my life savings on it, or get the next winning lotto numbers. go back in time, tell ms that they are building a shitty system that will break down lol, that way i don't have to buy it 4 times.

if i could travel into the future, id tell you guys all about MS bugged dl service that never caught on and how sony's ps5 cured all diseases.

if i could go back in time i would tell the public how short lived dvd was going to be, toshiba would never make a dime of dvd, and not have to counter the blu-ray movement to keep its royalties. graffeo, amir, kevin all dead, and warn speilburg to do his movies only with columbia/tristar, fox, or disney. oh and tell lucus star wars on something called laser disc is a mistake.

I think I should specify what would you do differently that would not seriously impact the time line.

You guys...

If I could travel to the Future it would have nothing to do with movies or Blu-ray.... I would use it to my own gain. Like someone has already mentioned, finding out who wins the next few super bowls and put all my money on it... and/or get the winning lottery numbers.

If I could go to the past I'd stop myself from spending all my damn money on stupid stuff... but I guess that's irrelevent now since I'm going to win the lotto :P

I'd go to the future and find all the cures for all the diseases of our century, and solve world hunger, and find the cure to cancer...
then I'd come back and share it all with the highest bidder!

2nd one is pretty bad i think, but you gotta see it to get to the third one, which is one of the best 3rd movies in a series ever i think.

that won't get you much money. the money is in the treatment not the cure.

also after world domination I would make fox keep firefly running, have showtime keep ''dead like me'' running, make jericho keep going, and find out what the hell is going on with lost.
