You should audition both of these to see how they sound to you. IMO the specs for the VF-36 look better, lower extension and a much lower tweeter crossover, the WF-34 seemed to push what I consider a lot of high frequencies to the main drivers. Since I have no expertise in this area don't regard my advice too heavily, it would be interesting to know the general attitude about where crossovers should be for tweeters. Overall I think Klipsch is telling you up front that you are paying for appearance for the WF-34.

Enjoy your speaker auditions.

I think the OP already made his decision. See the following thread he created a few hours after this one.

I hope I didn't come across as complaining or scolding toward the previous poster. My only intent was to save people from wasting their time answering the OP's question from this thread when he's already gone and bought speakers. That would be like

I didn't know that he had other threads on this same subject. I still would be interested in knowing peoples thoughts about internal speaker crossover frequencies. Looking at the two choices that were listed there was a big difference in that setting which somewhat surprised me. So I was sort of using the unanswered thread to ask my own question. Bad habit, sorry about that.

I'm sorry I derailed your question. If you don't get an answer here soon enough, you might have to start a new thread about it. I'll try not to work my magic on that one for you.
