You know...I always wonder the same thing, my router is on the opposite side of the house and the only way I can think of is running a cat5 or 6 cable...

Linksys WGA54G Wireless-G Gaming Adapter

This will do the trick, just be sure to connect it to a PC first, then configure it with your router's network settings before connecting it to your player.

Cool

There is a reason Electronic Companies don't put Wireless Adapters anymore, they are not reliable. When you are doing a Firmware upgrade you don't want a drop connection, it will leave your Player as a Door Stop. You could use something like Power Line Ethernet. It has two Adapters, and they plug into Power Outlets one near your Router and the other near your Player. You use Cat5 Patch Cables. Running Ethernet throughout the house is best.

I'm not sure what the difference is between the gaming adapter and a wireless bridge as the function is essentially the same but the gaming adapter is aimed towards game consoles. Maybe just the same with a different name slapped on it to help confuse people?

I would hope that the player manufacturers were smart enough to make the players not allow the update until the download was complete and it verified it wasn't corrupt. Very similar to how Windows verifies updates before installation as it could royally shaft you.

They pretty much serve the same purpose and the Linksys's Gaming adapter is widely recommended when these types of questions are posted.

Run CAt 5 cable from your router I made myself a 50 feet cat 5 cable (I only conect the cable when I need it) and conect it directly to my netgear hub from there it goes to my sony S550, PS3, xbox 360 and Directv HD box, I tried the Linksys game wireless adapter is so inconsistance using wireless connection will only give 1 bar out 4 when I stream videos from netflix 4 out 4when I use CAT 5. Give a try you wont regret it

Also, the wireless adaptor from the first-generation XBox will work, too (as it has an ethernet connection).

I had the same problem so I bought a Buffalo Technology WHR-HP-G54 and flashed it with DD-WRT and bridged the connection.

Now I have 5 routers spread around the house.

I bet you could easily use the Oppo wireless bridge kit. it is designed to work with no hassels or issues. I think the only thing you would need to buy in addition to this kit is a matching second powersupply. the kit was intended to have on end of it connected to a player that has a host USB port to give that section power. the other end that connects to the switch or hub, has a powersupply with it for power. that is why you would need a second powersupply. easy enough, go to radio shack, take the power supply with you, buy a matching one and your in business with your wireless setup. i'm more than 98% sure it will work for any machine, not just the Oppo. the bridge is made by Asus, that's why. It never states that it needs to be connected to an Oppo player. in fact in the pdf manual, the name Oppo is never used. If they will sell it for an Oppo player, it'll work for any player with an ethernet port (don't forget to buy the second powersupply) Hell, I'll bet it will work for almost anything you need to make a wireless connection work!
