I won't be buying this either. I want the original cut or at least an ultimate edition.

Ugh, I hope WB includes the original theatrical cut. I don't care if the director or writer or anybody else wants to go back and re-edit, re-cut or re-imagine stuff. That's their choice.

But PLEASE always include the original theatrical version for those of us that enjoy it as it was. It is really that much to ask?

Is this still coming out on September 8th? It's not listed on Amazon.com and I haven't heard any recent news about it.

We don't even have cover art and finalized details for this release so I can bet a million dollars it will be pushed back, maybe not a long delay but I would bet money on a mid to late OCT release.

I have always liked this movie and plan on picking it up as soon as its available. My question is why do most people on here seem to prefer the theatrical cut to this other version that is coming out next month? I honestly dont recall which versions of this movie I have seen before. Should I wait for the theatrical or not?

I refuse to believe that WB only has the budget to release the Extended Version only. This is utter BS. Theatrical cut or no sale!

I can definitely see this getting delayed. Hopefully WB have some sense and release the theatrical version on the disc too. With the original Warner Bros. logo, with the original colour scheme, and with no digital morphing to smooth over effects, ala the 25th Anniversary Edition. Now that I'd definitely buy (as disturbing as watching this in high-definition would be.)

Not surprised at all, they probably re-thought the whole special edition nobody wants thing and are re-doing the transfer to have the original version instead.

Umm let's skip the digi crap packaging please! Thats one thing that needs to go from this format!
