Thanks, shamus.

I must say, this forum needs some Japanese BD supporters or BD supporters in Japan, or both! That'll give a much more comprehensive insight over what's going on with the format.

Thanks Jeff. Google was down for a couple of hours and I couldn't google the HTF site.

This sounds like Fox will be involved with the promotion of the PS3's BD-playback capabilities. That could either mean that a free bundled Fox BD title with the PS3 or discount coupons for Fox's November 14th releases.

Sounds promising.

Alex Pallas You have got be kidding the story, the music and the way the film was edited together. Not to mention the fact that nobody thought travolta was ever coming back at that point, the superb acting. You must be like 16 and not get the little nuances of Pulp Fiction. The movie has everything comedy, drama, action. Don't get me wrong Kill Bill is a good action movie but, the acting and storyline are better in Pulp Fiction which IMO makes it a better movie. They are just two totally different types of movies. Ever wonder why Marcellus had that bandaid on his neck and the combo to the case was 666 well they are related. It's supposed to be butch's soul in the case. and he made a deal w/marcellus(the devil or his servant) for his soul to win the fight.

Sounds promosing indeed.

Oh and fuad (aka WriteSimply), try to avoid double posting. Don't forget to use the 'edit' button.
And by the way, welcome to the forums!

Double posting as in two-posts in one instance? Omy. It's hard sometimes because I'd have to be quoting different people on different posts. But if thems the rules...

Thanks for the welcome.

If you need to quote more than one person, use the quote+ option.

Ah well, he didn't really do something wrong. It's just...
You see, some people post stuff in different posts solely to make their postcount go up faster...
But I saw it wasn't the case here. So that's why I just added it as a modest comment, and didn't merge the posts or so.

So never mind it.
And let's get back ontopic.

No problem....
This is a response from Ronald today on AVS....

Hello guys!

Someone was kind enough to alert me to this thread.

Listen, I am in the process of confirming the number that I gave
all of you. I am certain I heard "50 titles by year's end" but if there
is any possibility that I misunderstood this to mean fiscal year's end
or by some other projected date I will gladly make a correction and
offer an apology.

I certainly don't want to be responsible for promoting false information
and will gladly do everything I can to go back and make certain that the
claims I made are factual. Please give me a few hours to reach someone
at the studio.

On a positive note, there is a huge wave of PRIME titles yet to be announced
from Fox and Disney for the Blu-Ray format. I can't talk about these titles, but
there are many. The answer I don't have is the timeframe in which these
titles will be released and if they were to be included in the projected number.

Thanks for your patience.

I'm on the edge of my seat! I hope it's true. Then, I can fully attack the HD-DVD fanboys on another forum (dvdprofiler.com). I have silenced them for now, but they'll be back.

LOL... I just read a post from him on his site from earlier today. Basically says he believes the studios are starting to realize they cant hold off with some of their big guns for the masses anymore... This is a war and they are going to have to start pleasing some of the early adopters....

ugh, the people at profiler really ticked me off earlier this year when they said they weren't going to offer official listings for either format until ONE wins. Talk about missing out on your market.
