That would be amazing if I saw ANY of these films this year, but I doubt it.

The first rule about fight club is that it will be awesome on blu-ray, the second rule about fight club is that it will be awesome on blu-ray.

No. The first rule of Fight Club is that it is awesome on D-Theater!

Fox is a studio that I consider one of the leaders when it comes to video formats. Some of their DVD's were incredible, and some had great extra features. They were the best supporter of the D-Theater format. In the latest issue of WSR, it is noted that they are the first studio to sign up with D-Box. This means that they will encode some of their discs so that the D-Box system will move in accordance with what you see on screen. Very cool (but the D-Box is way out of my price range)!

My dad really loved the Fox laserdiscs too (a format I skipped). The biggest drawback was price, as Fox was the most expensive for some reason.

Fox is definitely a studio you want on your side.

Will every Fox Blu ray now open with "I want you to hit me as hard as you can" ?

Fight Club will be nice, along with ID4 and i-Robot.

I've never understood that fatuation with Fight Club. It was okay but not something I'll watch again and again. Just goes to show how we all have different tastes.

It's not a film that I can watch multiple times in close succession. It is a film that I can pull out when the mood strikes though and it just cuts through all the crap and hits you. It's somewhat of a polarizing film though which is a plus in my book. I'm still shocked that my mother thinks its a great movie.

Agreed. Fight Club is not a movie I would ever deem for casual viewing, but it is a damned good movie.

This BD will definitely be in my collection, and if I only watch it once every couple of years or so? At least it will be there, and in great form to boot.

you all speak blasphemy . i had never watched it till college my soph. year (so it had been out three or four years). now, it is prob my second favorite movie next to usual suspects. but i do agree, not a movie that gets plugged in close succession. both movies are maybe once a month affairs. again, as said, it's all about taste and enjoyment. some movies just connect more with some than others.

Fight Club reminds us to be real men

The book is a damned good read - not very long at all - I recommend reading it to those who like the concepts. It also has a different ending so a different overall feel.

That said I think Fincher nailed the movie version.

When I start watching it I can't turn it off - one of my most watched movies.

Nothing yet, just the occasional post. Here are some:

I am here out in Los Angeles wrapping up a 2-day summit
with Fox Home Entertainment.

A lot of really positive talk about the P3 console and its
ability to play Blu-Ray titles.

Based on the talk here (and don't discount the fact that Fox
is promoting the BR format), the outlook on P3 is very good.

If all goes as planned, there's even some additional cool stuff
that P3 buyers will be very happy about -- but wait for that
information to be officially announced.
Today (in response to someone who states that he'd like Fox HD DVDs):

"From all counts of what I saw this week, Fox is far from
considering HD-DVD at this time.

To be honest, with all the ballyhooing they are doing about
their Blu-Ray launch, I didn't even feel it was appropriate to
suggest HD-DVD to them.
