monoprice speakers - Blu-ray Forum

Was looking to replace my side speakers with monoprice in wall speakers and adding some in ceiling speakers to complete my 7.1 system.

Are the monoprice speakers any good?>

I have their 6.5" in walls for surrounds. For surround duty they're great. They are well worth the money.

The low end is kind of lacking so for front stage I'd go with the 8's if you could swing it.

I'm actually looking at them for surrounds as well. I have some nice jbl speakers for my fronts.

Ohh cool I misread your post. I think you'd be happy with the mono's for surround. I think since my one wall is just a "divider" there's no insulation or anything inside. Once I get off my lazy ass and throw some stuffin' down there and tweak it I'll be good to go.

For the price it's a no brainer. Invest the real $$$ in the front stage.

PS- I have the onkyo 805 so we're kinda in the same situation
