Just checked my Blue Harvest DVD and the actual presentation is 4:3. The menus and some of the extras are 16:9.

Both this and Blue Harvest are in 1.33:1.
The current season of Family Guy is the first to be presented in 1.33:1 HD.
The first episode of the next season will mark the transition to Widescreen 1.78:1 HD.
It is unknown if "Bad Feeling About This" is going to be presented in 1.33:1 or 1.78:1.
I watched the whole thing at 1.33:1 once, and then watched it again with it cropped to 1.78:1. With the exception of the opening credits the whole frame fit quite nicely without cropping off heads or legs. I almost wonder if they didn't protect for 16x9 just in case? Lots of head room at top and bottom.

Yeah man, I definitely enjoyed this one more. Empire is my favorite though so some of the jokes I would probably find funnier then someone people.

Tried to load up my digital copy, but it didn't work. The disc kept making a clicking sound, and it never loaded up the interface. iTunes didn't recognize the disc either. Maybe it's just a faulty disc? Oh well, if it doesn't work it's not the end of the world.

But it's a one-hour episode, plus tons of cool extra features.

I just finished watching this and it was pretty funny. Of course I am a HUGE Star Wars fan and a pretty big Family Guy fan. So this is right up my alley.

I was impressed with how good the soundtrack was. The original music score sounded fantastic.

You guys upset by this being 1.33:1 make me sick. You also upset that Star Wars The Clone Wars was 2.4:1?

It's 1.33:1 because that's how they wanted it to be presented. I'm glad to hear that the staff is working in HD now, but I have absolutely no desire to see them transition to 16:9 just to be widescreen. I love the idea of a show producing in HD, but maintaining the same aspect ratio it's used all along. I think it'd be a great show of solidarity if Family Guy remained 4:3 throughout its entire run.

I purchased the Lunch Box set at Best Buy yesterday. I thought the BD looked great. Makes me want more releases in HD for sure.

I thought the story etc was really funny. The sound was incredible. It may have cost 30.00 for the SET but you can get the BD at most places around 20.00 worth every cent.

Yeah I know it is one episode runs 50 so mins, but it was well done, plus it cost a lot to animate that elephant.

The t-shirt is XL. So far this is the only family Guy on Blu-ray. Blue Harvest is still DVD only.

The ship FX are *not* rotoscoped, but lovingly recreated by the Family Guy CG department.

The next one is supposed to be 1.78, but the show is HD, even at 1.33 (supposedly McFarlane doesn't like widescreen).

I enjoyed this one much better than "Blue Harvest". With "Blue Harvest", I felt the musical and the lecherous Herbert (Obi-Wan Kenobi) was really dragging the story down. But then again I'm more biased towards "Empire Strikes Back", so...

Question Anybody else have this problem

So picked up my PS3 today and watched a few blue ray movies for the first time in glorious blue ray (Dark Knight) and Star Trek (am i the only one that felt that the movie suffered by being presented in the wide screen format) but when i popped in something something dark side I have this black border all around my picture! Is this a common problem or do i have a defective disk?
