No, i do not own this blu-ray movie, so i cannot tell you about hows it sound

PS: blu-ray argentina edition have English 5.1 audio and also English subtitles

Well, hopefully someone will bite the bullet and import it from Argentina, and we will find out all the specs. It does sound quite promising at the moment though.

So gathering from the intel I have come across on these boards- both Spanish BD of Rec and Rec 2 are region free, Rec is 1080i only, they will cost and arm and a leg to get? Correct?

Yep, but only one disadvantage; REC cannot play on american PS3

, but REC 2 is playable on american PS3

Well, Argentina is a Region A country, so it would have to be Region A, whether 1080i/60 or 1080p. It reportedly has english subs and audio, but that isnt 100% confirmed.

Any Argentina sites I could check out to try to at least get some pricing info? I am really surprised that no one came forward with more information on the Argentina release in the two years since this thread was started

Two years? So that means I'll probably have to wait as long on any info from the German boards on the movie Anamorph?

Might as well just order and hope that it is region free.

I traded for Rec 1 and Rec 2 Spanish. I plan on getting a player capable of 50hz but I doubt the one I have is. I would just like to wait a month or two to do it but at the same time I REALLY want to watch REC! Might be worth it to me to pick up the Argentina edition and just fork out the mucho dinero, buy me some time on getting a 50hz player. I don't even know where to BEGIN to start looking through Argentenian online stores. I wouldn't even know where to start. That's one of the areas I was hoping for some guidance!

It seems to be pretty useful but I can't seem to select any of the text to highlight for translation. I have several other tabs open and am able to highlight text on those so I don't know what the problem is. Perhaps they have this diasbled?

I am usually quite savvy with international sites not in english but this one is giving me trouble

Just tried buying it. They are sold out. They told me to try again in a month or so.

Holy crap. Try again in a month? That is forever lol. Most places say try back next week, this place says a month

How much was shipping going to be? How much was it going to be total? I came up with $34 US for just the disc itself w/o shipping.

Sorry but I didn't ask about the shipping. I was bummed after they said to check again withing a month.

Trust me, I want both Rec 1 and 2 just as bad as you.

I have both of them coming from a member on another forum. I just don't know if my player will play the 1080i 50hz on the Rec 1 Spanish version. it is region free but I have serious doubts that I can play 50hz. I was going to get a region free player but that may not be in the cards for another month 4 or 6 weeks and I want to watch Rec before then! I was going to try to sell it to someone that had a 50hz compatible player and then invest in the more expensive Region A Argentina edition.

Hello, I am from Buenos Aires and I just called today to that site to ask about REC in Blu Ray, they told me it's out of stock and asked me to call again in ten days. I asked, just in case, if it was a local edition or imported from Spain, they said it is a local edition. This is tooooo weird because I have never hear of a local edition of that movie here, plus it's not available in any other bigger stores, but well.... Audio is in Spanish DTS-HD 5.1 and English dolby digital 5.1 with English subs included. Of course it is region A so no 1080i or 50hz or pal issues. I'm going to be on the track of this one because I want it so bad.

So I got the menu to load on REC but all I get is subtitles and audio. When I go to scene selection or skip forward a chapter I get a quick flash of video but only for a second. Is this what happens when your player can't decode 60hz? Or is there something I can do with my settings to get this to play?

It happes when the player can't decode 60hz. Same thing happened to a friend with a Samsung 1400 ( can't recall the exact model of the player, sorry, but I guess it was a 1400 ).
