Default Question on HDMI-1.3 Cable fitting

With the advent of the HDMI-1.3 compliant products now starting to surface, like the Toshiba HD-XA2 with HDMI-1.3 output and soon to be introduced at CES, the Sony BDPS-2, it was my understanding from HDMI,LLC that the fitting or interconnect of the cable is smaller that the normal HDMI Cable. If this is so, do you know if there is a adapter or converter, so that it will allow connection to the standard HDMI connection on a HDTV or Projector ? You insight will be appreciated. Thanks . . . .

Jim

Default Answer from Gefen about HDMI-1.3 cabling

I emailed Tech Support at Gefen, who makes cables and interconnects, and they answered as follows:

"Dear Jim,

There is a new mini-HDMI connector that cameras and
such will use, but as it is not the "main" connector
for HDMI 1.3, none of our products will use it for
HDMI at this time. We will have adaptors to fit this
connector at some point, perhaps a few months from now.

So it appear that the smaller connector is for camera's, etc. and not the main home entertainment products. "Good" !!!!
