Default HDCP questions ?

hi to all this my first post/thread
i have some questions 4 u guys . if u could help me .
1-how do i know my tv is a hdcp compliant ? what should be the outcome of connecting it to my ps3 if it was not ?

2-i downloaded a demo from a website to a flash memory .but when i went home (no net connection at home )and plugged the flash memory to my ps3 i couldnt find it on the flash using the xmlb. so how can i do transfer demos i download to flash memory to a ps3?

I'll answer 2)

There's no official means for downloading PS3 demos to anything but the PS3 HDD directly from the PLAYSTATION Store so there's no officially supported method for copying demos off external memory to the PS3's HDD as it's not supposed to be there to begin with.

If your tv has hdmi input it compliant.Old hdtvs before or during 2005 used dvi connections most not compliant.

as simple as that ?..
yes it does .it has 2 HDMI,2 component,1 dvi ,1 s something and 2 of the usuall tv input (and i think a coaxiall also , it has a tuner )
btw ...its" hd ready" ,but i was told that u cant tell the difference between "full hd" and "hd ready "for 32 inch tvs .

I think that hdcp thing you were talking about is with computer monitors...

Your set...

Thing with downloading demos... more likely you would have to put the demo in a set of folders like /PS3/GAMES But I do not know the name of the folder set... but I also do not think the game tab sees the flash drive for demos...

Most are. You can a) Do as I did and contact the TV manufacturer and ask or b) Plug in an HDMI to DVI cable and find out for yourself.

In one of my setups, I'm running HDMI>DVI to a four-year-old Sony XBR with no problem.
