Time to Ask Amazon for a Credit!

Amazon just lowered the price of ID4, Hitman, I Robot, and Alvin and the Chipmunks to $25.95 from $27.95. The Adventures of Baron M and Gattaca are now $18.95 from $19.95. I am sure that there are more movies that received a price reduction. If you ask Amazon they will credit you the difference from the price you paid to the new price. Only a couple of bucks here and there but it helps.

Fox's day and date new releases still have $1 higher price than most other studios, maybe that's the cost of BD+?

Their catelog releases 's prices are still way too high, compare to other studio's $19.99 street price.

The best thing to do is click there help button, then the contact me button. Then do the thing where they call you. It works like a champ. I just did the call me. You put your phone number in and hit contact me now. As soon as you do, your phone will ring within seconds. You will be connected fast. I gave them the order numbers for the 6th day and Baron M and they adjusted the price. I checked as soon as I got off the phone and both were price adjusted. Gotta love it.

Still too high. I will wait for the discs to cost me considerably less than $20 or I will be patient. There is plenty on my shelf to keep me busy. Plus, the recent releases of films not appearing on Blu-ray such as "There Will Be Blood" and "Sweeney Todd" have got me going back to rentals recently.

Amazon will refund the difference of any price drops on items sold by Amazon for 30 days after the item was shipped. You don't even need to call them, you can email them through the "Help" section if you want. The best way to track your purchases is to get a Amazon price tracker(Firefox has several extensions that can do this for example) that automatically tells you if the price drops.

1 more question though: if I get a price adjustment now, can I get another if the price drops further within the 30-day period?

Yes - I've had around four price changes on some items and they have honored them all!

i've gotten many credits back from amazon due to 1 month price guarantee ( i saved 300 on my bravia)... takes no more then 3 business days to see credit back on whatever payment you used.

Got it! I tried to have them call me, line was disconnected 5 times. Tried to e-mail, got an error saying try again in a few minutes...3 times. Then I used the number to call them myself...it worked the first time.
