Disney with Sony as a close #2.

I voted Disney with Sony a very close second. Disney has been innovating by putting BD-J features on some of its discs, and trying different codecs. Sony has really been knocking the ball out of the park lately with its stellar releases as well, but I still give a slight edge to Disney.

I picked Sony with Disney a close second, but Warner should be dead last.

I'd say Sony has done the "best" job for Blu-ray, though Disney is my favorite.

BV are putting out better films, I really don't care for crap like Catch and Release and all the other chick flicks that Sony continue to release, obviously there have been some notable exceptions, but generally BVHE has a better film choice. Also they have a great post-house, or Panasonic Hollywood are doing a stellar job with the encoding. Since Pearl Harbour, I haven't seen a bad BVHE disc.

Didn't vote because I'd have to say 50/50 Sony & Disney.

I voted Disney because of all the HD-only features that POTC movies will have. I don't care about them, but that's one of the things HD-DVD supporters like to say is their advantage, so any movie studio trying to show what BD can do to take that advantage away is good in my book.

Adding future speculation on releases...and BDJ features ect could be usefull in a poll after the holidays...but the real reason we adopt BD is for number 1 P/Q and number 2 A/Q improvements over sd dvd. When IME ect is finished...then we can add that aspect. |

Since I had to pick just 1 studio, I said Disney, but Sony is so close that it's almost a tossup.
With Disney putting out some of their crown jewels (Pirates I and II, Cars, The Rock) on Blu-ray I had to give them the edge. I think things will be more even when Sony puts out the re-issue of TFE and the Spidey flicks. In quality terms, both Sony and Disney have been doing Blu-ray proud. I can now say that I'm not hesitant to buy any BD from either. Fox has done a good job, but in my opinion the LPCM audio beats out DTS-HD as far as present usefulness. Paramount and Lionsgate have been minor players with only a few films I'm interested in. Warner has been a huge disappointment. I am going to be very discerning before buying any more Warner titles. |

This does not apply as these reviewers use extras and story lines in their equations, at least two of them are hd dvd biased as well as codec biased, and because this includes the hd dvd versions when I clearly stated BD only. If your going to vote....vote using the guidelines and BD only releases. |

He also singled out audio quality and video quality, so storylines, and extras aren't included in these numbers. |
