I have an Onkyo 605 on the way and I have a n00b question-
Is it possible to hook up my 360 (via component) my wii (via component) and my PS3 (via HDMI) all to the receiver, and then send that all out to the tv via HDMI? Would I basically be able to reduce the wires running to the HDTV to only the one HDMI connection? I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I wasn't sure if it was possible for the 605 to output all those different connections via HDMI. |

Please keep in mind that your 360 will be outputed HDMI but it will be limited by the component input. I would recommend inputing HDMI for it as the SR605 supports 2 HDMI inputs. |

Thats the setting I could not find.. I believe I have to enter a menu when connected through componet to my tv correct? Then turn on HDMI out..
Then it should work correct? |

Finally got my Polk 6750 speakers all set up and I'm quite happy. I ran the Audessy and it's pretty solid, but I still need to do some tweaking. One thing I'm not sure about is the sub. It sounds great but seems like it should be a bit louder. I've of course turned up the volume and that's helped, but it also seems like it's not kicking in as much as I'd like.
Anyone have suggestions on settings? Polk's manual is really light. Anyway, thanks for all the help. I'm really happy with my surround sound already. |

I guess in Onkyo's case you need to set a crossover, this will send the lower frequencies to the sub. (pg.70 user manual) Last edited by crackinhedz; 06-14-2008 at 11:23 AM. |

Ryooki- I know that most games are 720p or even lower, but I don't like the idea of it being locked there. I just wired it straight to the TV so it's moot anyway and I could keep my calibrations. Thanks for the info though. I do appreciate it. |

When I tried that setting I felt that there was less bass reproduction. Am I misunderstanding it? |

active ( powered ) subs usually have two settings...
Crossover ~80Hz will remove everything over 80 and send everything under 80 to the sub - Usual settings run from 150 Hz to 40 Gain - the amount of amplification or how loud it will be |
