Will probably look to sell it at some point...probably the only Scream blind-buy misfire I've had, so I'm fortunate.

I've tried on numerous occasions to watch this movie. Glad I stayed away from the blu. Slumber Party Massacre and Crawlspace were my two blind buys that I had to end up selling. Not my cups of tea.

Thought we would have got more September announcements by now. I suppose today is still young. Definitely should know them by the end of the week. I wonder if they're planning on announcing several on the same day (like Child's Play I-III)?

Amazon can take a while to fill an order sometimes, especially when there's a big sale like that. I've waited months before for them to ship a $5 movie or whatever. They'll let you know if they don't think they'll ever be able to fill it, which won't happen here because Lord of Illusions is still in print.

I am still waiting for The Fog, but my other 8 or so sale titles have arrived.

I ordered it a month ago, and it still hasn't shipped. I'll just wait it out. It was cheap, and I want it for my October Halloween marathon, so win win.

**NEW TITLE ANNOUNCE**

Get ready to experience the third dimension retro-style. 1983’s METALSTORM: THE DESTRUCTION OF JARED-SYN will be coming to Blu-ray for the first on September 13th. And, yes, it will be in presented in 3-D as it was originally back during its theatrical release!

A miner and his daughter Dhyana (Kelly Preston) fall prey to the evil dictator Jared-Syn's reign of terror. Dogen (Jeffrey Byron) the brave peacekeeping ranger, must save Dhyana and the rest of her planet from the of Jared-Syn (Mike Preston), his son, Baal (R. David Smith), and the hideous Cyclopean warlord, Hurok (Richard Moll). If Dogen does not find Dhyana in time, she will be sacrificed to Jared-Syn's strange life-giving crystal.

Directed by Empire Pictures founder Charles Band (Parasite, Trancers) and also features his Trancers star Tim Thomerson (Near Dark, Fade to Black).

I'd like for Scream to do something with films like Cujo, Silver Bullet, Pet Sematary and Sleepwalkers.

I know most people dislike Sleepwalkers, but to me it's worth it for Mädchen Amick. My favorite girl from the 90's!

Anyway, three Scream pickups for me. I bought They Live, Escape From New York and Assault on Precinct 13. I already owned The Fog and the Halloween set. So, that's what... 14 scream factory films for me.

As far as I can tell, there are now merely a handful of 70s and 80s Universal theatrical releases that would fit in the Scream Factory line:

Colossus: The Forbin Project (1970)

Burned at the Stake (AKA The Coming) (1981)
Bullies (1986)

Still a few 60s, 90s and 00s titles should they wish, but between Scream's general disinterest in pre-1970 titles and certain 90s titles they apparently can't get for various reasons the Universal well is certainly getting drier.

No doubt, I couldn't imagine paying that much the premise really didn't interest me at all.

I'm still waiting for ALL of the OOS stuff I ordered...including Lord of Illusions..I thought I had some movement w/ Body Bags, but they just sent me an email asking if I still wanted it...it was originally "expected" by Jun 1st...didn't happen.

I thought "The Island" was a lot of fun. When Caine just decides to buy his kid a gun for no reason at the beginning, I was laughing my ass off. Then, the ending is just absolutely hilarious.

Worst Scream title I've watched is "Catacombs". Just dreadful, and there's nothing unintentionally funny about it really.

Same here. Just not a fan, of the overall packaging, of the Japanese version. I can wait a bit more.

Also hoping for Prophecy, The Big Bus, War of the Worlds and When Worlds Collide.

So will this be in Real 3D like COMIN AT YA! and JAWS 3, or will it be the "painful, eyeball ripping" red/blue anaglyph 3D?

Decided to finally watch my copy of The Incredible Melting Man tonight that I've had for 2 years or so. This was my first ever viewing of the film and I wasn't even aware of it prior to Screams release. I was quite impressed with the video quality of the disc but more than that, I was impressed with the general concept of the film. Is it a great film? No, but it's mere existence points to a time in film making that's almost all but forgotten. Was this released theatrically? It's such an odd mish-mash of a film that I have a hard time believing it saw any sort of release outside of video. On top of all of this though I have to say... is MGM not the best studio ever? The sheer quantity of titles from all genres is staggering and to see this type of film lumped in with so many greats under the MGM umbrella is a bit of an amazing thing to me. I wish all the major studios went back to this sort of operation and just cranked out anything with an interesting idea/premise and weren't so driven by the Hollywood youth and/or desire to put pretty faces in front of the camera week in and week out.
