I've tried on numerous occasions to watch this movie. Glad I stayed away from the blu. Slumber Party Massacre and Crawlspace were my two blind buys that I had to end up selling. Not my cups of tea. |

Thought we would have got more September announcements by now. I suppose today is still young. Definitely should know them by the end of the week. I wonder if they're planning on announcing several on the same day (like Child's Play I-III)?

I'd like for Scream to do something with films like Cujo, Silver Bullet, Pet Sematary and Sleepwalkers.
I know most people dislike Sleepwalkers, but to me it's worth it for Mädchen Amick. My favorite girl from the 90's! Anyway, three Scream pickups for me. I bought They Live, Escape From New York and Assault on Precinct 13. I already owned The Fog and the Halloween set. So, that's what... 14 scream factory films for me. As far as I can tell, there are now merely a handful of 70s and 80s Universal theatrical releases that would fit in the Scream Factory line:
Colossus: The Forbin Project (1970) Burned at the Stake (AKA The Coming) (1981) Bullies (1986) Still a few 60s, 90s and 00s titles should they wish, but between Scream's general disinterest in pre-1970 titles and certain 90s titles they apparently can't get for various reasons the Universal well is certainly getting drier. Worst Scream title I've watched is "Catacombs". Just dreadful, and there's nothing unintentionally funny about it really. |

![]() So will this be in Real 3D like COMIN AT YA! and JAWS 3, or will it be the "painful, eyeball ripping" red/blue anaglyph 3D? |

Decided to finally watch my copy of The Incredible Melting Man tonight that I've had for 2 years or so. This was my first ever viewing of the film and I wasn't even aware of it prior to Screams release. I was quite impressed with the video quality of the disc but more than that, I was impressed with the general concept of the film. Is it a great film? No, but it's mere existence points to a time in film making that's almost all but forgotten. Was this released theatrically? It's such an odd mish-mash of a film that I have a hard time believing it saw any sort of release outside of video. On top of all of this though I have to say... is MGM not the best studio ever? The sheer quantity of titles from all genres is staggering and to see this type of film lumped in with so many greats under the MGM umbrella is a bit of an amazing thing to me. I wish all the major studios went back to this sort of operation and just cranked out anything with an interesting idea/premise and weren't so driven by the Hollywood youth and/or desire to put pretty faces in front of the camera week in and week out.
