I saw "Halloween" on British broadcast TV when I was 10 years old (it was "uncut" I believe). My parents were incredibly lax when it came to my viewing habits at home I guess.

Not to put a date on myself, as my birthday is coming up soon and I feel ancient, but I saw "Star Wars" in 1978, the earliest I could see it as we had to wait for it to come to our local cinema in Canterbury (England) - the cinema is site of the "new" Marlowe Theatre now... and I also saw "The Smurfs and the Magic Flute" and that cheap American Spider-man TV movies they released theatrically in Europe on their first (and only?) release there.

Can we change the title of this thread to "The Geezer Thread"?
