ngkf7 Special Member Member since:Jan 2008 Location:Baltimore, MD 4K collection:4 Blu-ray collection:161 MA collection:104 iTunes collection:1 Blu-ray reviews: 54	Help - My dad doesn't want a Blu player for Christmas (and I already got him one) So I was out to dinner with my dad tonight and he has no idea that I got him a Blu ray player for Christmas (Panasonic BD35). Unfortunately, he proceeded to talk about how he doesn't want one and how he can't tell the difference. Then I proceeded to tell him that he has to be blind to not be able to see the difference between Blu and his upconverted dvds. He has a 720p projector on a 9ft screen, so it is just screaming for some true HD movies. I'm hoping that he just shuts up and deals with it, but now I feel that I may have wasted some money. My brother and I were talking about it and felt that all he needs is to see Planet Earth on DVD vs Blu. Any thoughts? How do I make him open the box and keep it on Christmas morning?
