Don't know what to say, but my PS3 doesn't seem to be that loud, and I just bought it.
But mine is in a cold basement all the time. Maybe try lowering the temp in the room a little? Either that or say the fan is loud or broken or something and exchange it for another. Since it is that new, they should do that no problem, and then if the new one has that problem, you've done all you can do. Good Luck.
