This is not true. Have you read the complaints on here and on Facebook?

There are a lot of people still waiting on their Creepshow and Night of the Demons pre-orders to show up in their mailboxes. Those both had street dates of October 23. 22 days ago.

My Night Of The Demons didn't arrive until November 10th. Street date was October 23rd.

I was not contacted about any delay, and people who ordered from Amazon had it on the street date.

I pre-ordered Creepshow from a retailer other than Scream Factory back on 9/16 (plenty of time for Scream Factory to ensure that this retailer had enough stock to cover all pre-orders) and still haven't received it yet. It's bad enough that the number of retailers in which you can purchase titles from has dwindled... it's even worse when you place a pre-order and have no reasonable time frame in which you can expect it to be delivered.

Homebodies
The Manitou
Zoltan: Hound of Dracula

It remains to be seen which ones will be licenced by Scream, but in any case Kino also have some horror titles so between them we should be covered.
Does StudioCanal still have Near Dark?

They should. It’s inherited from the same distributor that did Evil Dead 2 and Maximum Overdrive.

I hope Kino gets all of those so I get them for $12-15.

We have replication capacity issues due to too many companies (over time) outsourcing to one supplier. Technicolor also purchased the Cinram disc manufacturing business and then closed the NA plants and moved production over to Mexico in favor of lower costs. Now they're shifting production back to NA and aren't prepared for the demand. Sounds like shortsightedness then followed by poor planning to me.

There is a comical side to this but I am not laughing.

The entitled, uninformed speculation is what's most disheartening.
Shout! will do just fine without your $$, trust me.

They used to be under $30 on all the other sites also. If you only order 1 title from the SF site it's $7 shipping, even with 2 titles at $23.99-$24.93 they made sure it adds to less then $50 for free shipping so you'd have to order 3 titles to get free shipping, 2 if they both include posters at $28.43. Some people prefer to order from Amazon, Best Buy ect.. & until recently were able to do at reasonable prices. Money isn't an issue for me since I mostly collect horror movies & very little else but that doesn't make price manipulation right.

On a side note I really hope SF are paying you for all the shilling you do for them cause if not

The #1 reason why I rarely order from Shout directly is the absolutely ridiculous $7 shipping charge. Along with that though is the fact that I often earn gift cards to places like Wal-mart/Amazon/Best buy through online surveys and these cards are specifically saved for pre-orders on new films.

Stop white knighting Shout!...unless you happen to be an employee of theirs, which would put your die hard shilling into context.

That said, I'm still keeping my orders for TCM 4 and SNDN 2...but I always wanted them in the first place, so dealing with the devil were necessary evils in that situation and I dropped the money long before the Grindhouse Video dude's issue arose.

Future orders will be a harder sell, though.

Looking through the releases up through February, the only ones I will definitely buy are the Urban Legend releases and Valentine because of the lengthy doc on UL and the fact that I have been wanting Valentine for about 10 years. Most others I don’t have to have or I have previous or foreign releases that will suffice.

New Starman special feature is just under 30mins long. Sounds pretty sweet since Jeff is involved.

You guys are hilarious. Pointing fingers at others for what they think about Shout Factory yet you're still willing to do business with them? Smells a little hypocritical to me...

My "business" are holdovers from months ago and I used PayPal at the time, so it's not like I ordered stuff from 'em recently.

Are they aware they can MAKE MONEY by licensing the rights? Sitting on a film library does NOBODY any good.
