For the same reason you wrote “he’ll” instead of “hell.” It’s an easy typo to make.

Ditto, and I hope that the supposed included standard Blu-rays will have the new transfers from the original negatives. The 2011 BDs need to go bye bye.

I admire your bravery for posting Overlord DVD videos on this forum but he's far too blunt and unforgiving in his condemnation of Disney Wars for those who defend TLJ. Presenting that video is going to be met with the maximum amount of confirmation bias and will be quickly dismissed based on his intentionally goofy MST homage presentation to justify not even entertaining the actual substance of what he says.

One would be better off pointing to recent statements from former shilly people like Jeremy Jahns and Kristian Harloff who only recently seem to be taking issue with the garbage that Disney and people like Freddie Prinze is spewing.

Once one gets over the emotional high fiving of Freddie throwing his little temper tantrum about the current state of Disney Wars and actually breaks down each part of the sanctimoniousness that he preaches, it's pretty amusing to see how silly and flat out inaccurate most of what he says is.

I didn't. They are the same and do not include any bonus discs. So you get less for more money and new packaging. I'm waiting for the 4K releases, though I'm guessing that it might not be until next fall so they can push TROS alone, then sell all as individual releases and maybe a boxed set in the fall.

This is by far the worst fandom.
Coming from the sonic fandom and many other fandoms, not even close to the worst...
P.S. what was shown that could really get us excited for people who hated the last movie? a vision? few seconds of footage? People aren't happy with the lack of footage, and its not helping those who are against the sequel trilogy after ryan and the lucasfilm story group (now gone) smashed the trilogy's story into pieces. Stop blaming us for getting angry over how they are treating the last film and acting like we aren't fans.

1. Welcome to Overlord DVD's channel... He still pissed about star trek and star wars, you expect him not to be angry at this point?
2. Just because they are former shilly people, doesn't mean other people can't be listen to. Then if you don't like their opinions, you can stop watching and move on to another channel.
3. Refering to point 1, Freddie is acting childish and similar to the hit piece that was made against him, Overlord DVD is just smashing the glass to pieces that he sees as untrue.
People do get angry, but not everyone is unforgiving. You have to reach a certain point, and I don't see Overlord DVD at that level yet. But thats just my opinion.

I've more or less given up hope on ever seeing the original cuts again. I'll just have to make due with my Despecialized Editions. They aren't perfect, but they're made with more love and care than anything official that's been put out.

I can tolerate DISNEY pumping out inferior STAR WARS films, but holding back the OT original cuts is unforgivable.

This madness started in 1997 - and still no end in sight.

I planned to get it for the digital copies eventually. I would be aiming for enough of a discount though to where I could use the digital copy and sell them and at least break even. Overall its a pretty low priority buy for now and an even lower priority given how great the odds of a 4k release are now.

I would love to see "Shadows of the Empire" done in animated form like CW or Rebels. It's the story that took place between ESB and ROTJ. There is enough to it to make a series out of it IMO. Bring on Dash Rendar! Black Sun was already made cannon thanks to Clone Wars, now bring it home and show us the reign of Prince Xizor.

May the Fourth (of November) be with you all! Tonight's the night the wife and I begin the entire sprawling space saga, covering nearly 75 years of galactic history and landing us at RISE OF SKYWALKER on December 19th, at the pace of one movie every three-to-five days, depending on what we’ve got goin’ on in “real life”. This will include everything from the cringeworthy (Jar Jar, Young Anakin) to the feature spin-offs (SOLO and ROGUE ONE) to the truly historic (the 1977 classic that started it all, in its original unmolested glory thanks to 4K77 v1.4). We may even stop by Tosche Station to pick up those damn power converters.

It's pretty darn exciting to start Episode I, knowing there'll be an Episode IX at the end of it all.

Stay on target... STAY ON TARGET....

Hahaha... features only, for me. Actually: theatrically released features only (so no Ewok TV movies). Actually actually: live-action theatrically released features only (so no CLONE WARS).

And I'm even holding off on THE MANDALORIAN 'til I can binge 'em all in early 2020. I think Disney is insane to muddy the RISE hype with that show, as much as I'm genuinely looking forward to it. Right now I just want to give my full nerd attention to the Classic Saga.
