david_blu Blu-ray Guru Member since:Jul 2011	I think suggested this before but although I'm perfectly happy with TMP Theatrical, as a go between you could re-edit the extra scenes from the DC into the Theatrical without updating the fx shots. So basically reedit the movie into its DC form but keep the Theatrical fx shots and add the extra TOS sound effects. That could work as an in-between. Also when it comes to STIV I grew up with the UK edition on vhs and dvd and really miss the intro not on the blu ray. I really want that added back as it helps the Genesis trilogy narrative.
