Default onkyo owners

This is probably a stupid post, but let me explain a mistake i made.

I didnt fully read my owners manual, and there is a lot of features that the onkyos have.

1 of which is the inteli volume. Not knowing what this did i had mine turned all the way up with it in mind that it would help with dialogue, it never did. So reading my owners manual on saturday I learned that it was to balance input signals, so there would be a steep drop or rise from lets say cable to dvd.

Putting this back at 0 and adjusting my other imputs I now currently run my receiver at about 70, where as before 40 was deafening.

Now that i can run the avr at referance levels without shattering windows, my sounds is unbelievable. The lack of bass and mid range I once had is gone. The sound is full and well balanced. I had to reconfigure all of my eq levels and now it sounds great.

I hope this helps some of you out there.
