Of course, Disney though has been having significant financial problems with their theme park operations prior to Covid-19 (Bob Iger is one reason why that is). One example, the renovation done at Hollywood Studios in Orlando particularly the Star Wars portion has been a financial disaster. Disney has been in financial troubles for sometime but that’s another story. I’ll just say this Disney isn’t the powerhouse many people think they are by any means. |

Don't get what's so funny...
![]() Florida and Texas are doing the best economically during this pandemic while places like California and New York are floundering. This isn't an opinion, this is facts. Hell, there was an article comparing Florida and California how they've handled the pandemic & how the economics have been during the course & let me just put it simply & say Florida took the upper hand (& some cases that's putting it lightly). Aliens and The Abyss will come with the next Avatar films. True Lies is another story, as it is dated and jingoistic enough - Cameron admitted that is why it never made it to Blu-Ray, though that makes no sense with other studios pooping out similar "Muslim Mad Man!" films by the butt-load - to not be on Disney's release list.

Who in their right mind would ever trust anybody that would say a 4K release would never happen lol? It's not even remotely logical.

Not entirely. I’ll bet my son’s life you won’t ever see a UHD (or even a BD) of The Abyss or Homeward Bound, to name just two examples.

This is a truly terrific announcement. especially since HEAT has been among the most requested UHDs since the format launched. So now that we're finally getting it, I would like to respectfully request THE BIG HEAT from 1953, and then also THE HEAT with Melissa McCarthy -- because that movie is funny as hell. That should complete my trifecta.

Based on my viewing of the 4K HDR digital, I can bet on these numbers (always happy to be proven wrong).
Maximum Content Light Level : 90 nits Maximum Frame-Average Light Level : 50-60 nits I really hope they spice up the HDR grading for the physical release. |

It just looked a bit firmer than the remastered BD in terms of definition. Otherwise, it did look underwhelming (IMO). Will be interesting to see if they do some tweaks for the physical release. |
