problems with the sharp 52''

Hi Guy's,
Just to ask if anyone has the problem of the latest sharp lcd 52'' with a red washout on the screen. this is very evident with the skin tone. I have tried everything to rectify the issue, but even with blu-ray movies,games (via a hdmi cord and ps3) and standard tv via hd recorder, this has been a big problem for me.
The tv is under repair, but according to sharp this is unique, but other electrical retailers have stated that is is an issue, which sharp will not acknowledge, and the problem cannot be repaired.
It was a choice between the sharp and the latest sony, so have i made a bad choice, as i feel i have.
Has anyone heard of the same problem arising in other lcd tv's or have i bought a dud?
