Question Problems with my Sharp BDP Help!

Hi all, first post on this forum. I have a Sharp BD-HP20 Blue Ray player that I've had for about 3 years now. For about a year or so I've been having problems with the visual. When playing a blue-ray, the picture will sometimes slow down, but the audio will remain normal. All my blue rays have done this. I am up to date on my firmware. I bought this from best buy and had a service plan put on it so I've taken it to them several times, but they said they didn't have any problems. Even the tech guy that BB sent it to called me and said they watched an entire movie and didn't notice the "slowing down." It's only periodically but it gets really annoying. I didn't know if anyone had this same problem before? I still have another year of service on this but I want this fixed.

Also, would my tv need an firmware update? I didn't think of it until recently that maybe its my tv that needs and update?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I had the bd-20 for over a year until recently changing players. I never experienced the issues you are reffering to. Sounds like a isolated incident. Best best would be to try and get a replacement model or upgrade as you have an extented warranty. If your not happy, it's their responsibility to make it right.

As you say, check if your TV firmware is up to date.
