I think $24.99 is a sweet deal. After all most single, one version blus are that price or even higher with nowhere near as many extras.

but, I think that set is Region 2 which might not play in the U.S., though I'm trying to determine if that is correct right now.
Any pics of the UK packaging? It's also funny that they put a film cell in there as this movie was shot entirely digitally.

Check my Post Here - it has a link to this guy's Gallery where he posted Many photos of the UK Special Edition set. I Love how it has your basic Amaray case for the 3-discs.

Are they serious with all of the quotes on the package? I didn't know Cameron could ever be guilty of being pretentious.

Yeah, that's a bit embarrassing. And also while I like black color of the case and the overall look of the box I don't like pictures they used, it's all from promo shots, nothing exclusive except cover.

Btw Russian price is $50.
I can order US or UK version from Amazon for $30.

Looks like I'm going to have to go with a custom case again. This one just doesn't seem practical.

I got the coupon as I was walking out the store. I'll have to check if it's available online.

Really? That's never been the case with my Costco. For the most part I find that Costco's price is nearly identical or lower than even Amazon. There are exceptions of course (not many though). But, if Costco wants to move units, the price is going to be much lower then it is elsewhere.

My guess is that the listed price will be $22.99 or even $24.99 and with the coupon you can get it for less than $20. When Kick Ass was released, Costco was selling it for $18.99.

Yes, it specifically mentions the Collector's Edition. There is even a picture of the Collector's Edition Case. And I quote:

Quote:
Avatar Collection's Edition
$ OFF Blu-ray disc
OR $4 OFF DVD
No limit
Item 549802, 549804

Thanks! That looks great. Might get the UK edition if it's confirmed region free.

Apparently according to the UK threads, the first disc containing the main feature is region free, but the last two are region C/B locked. I don't know - are the last two discs on the US release region A locked?

I was at Wal-Mart this morning and they had the Avatar: CE out early. Only one copy left. No sticker price. I didn't buy it since mine just shipped yesterday from Amazon, but the packaging seemed really nice and sturdy.

Region coding isn't on the discs. It shows Region A on the back of the box.

I'm tempted to head out and check mine to see if they put any copies out. Anyone had any luck in Springfield, IL?
