Yeah, that's a very unlikely trait for somone who becomes the most evil and hated person in the galaxy.

People seem to forget about the bad dialogue and acting in the OT. I'm not saying it was as bad as the prequels, but it was still bad. I love how most people ignore how Luke is almost constantly whining and complaining through at least the first two movies. There are parts where I'd like to slap him.

I know it's sacrilege to say anything negative about the OT, but none of the movies are perfect. Still, Star Wars is my favorite film series.

Does anyone else think the box art for the complete collection is terrible. It doesn't feel "Star Wars" at all.

A number of people here dislike it. I love it.

It's the Iconic images of Anakin leaving Tatooine to follow his destiny and Luke dreaming of a bigger destiny while looking at the Twin Binary Sunset.

It's the film I'm most looking forward to on Blu-Ray. Not only for the Yoda change, but also the much improved picture over the DVD.

I'm just glad they not only restored the 8% missing picture, but also fixing things like Fode & Beed's hand going into his chest.
Sure, I understand that. And I do respect everyone's right to have their own favorite. But do you really think TPM is the best of the bunch?

i concur- episode 1 is the only prequel that i can handle- i still don't think it is good but i wanted to walk out on episode 3 after the terrible anakin/ obi duel-

The cover for the entire trilogy is tolerable, but the individual art is some of the worst design i've seen, anywhere.

It's a good thing you didn't. You would have missed, well, the credits.

Revenge of the Sith is probably my favorite Star Wars film, if I had to pick. Movies connected with different people for different reasons. A friend of mine likes The Phantom Menace the best because to him, it looks the most like a Star Wars film, compared to the next two.

I will probably start with Phantom Menace. I really love them all. Even if they didn't mean someone's standards, I usually wonder what movie did. What popcorn movie is better than The Phantom Menace? That's come out since that is not Star Wars? Please don't answer that, its not really appropriate but I think you get my drift.

I am really excited to see it on Blu-ray.

I´ve compared those 720p blu-ray screencaps from the OT to the german hdtv transport streams that are the highest quality hdtv streams out there, much better than the´HV´ 1080p versions taken off Sky.

There are scenes in those screencaps where the german stream has burnt in subtitles but the 720p screencaps do not, so its definately not taken from the german streams, yet the PQ is equivalent, if not better, with more clearly visible grain and detail, on those 720p screencaps (taken from a 6.5GB rip), even when compared, somewhat unfairly, to the 1080p german stream (taken from a 16GB TS stream).

I would say that they are authentic. It´s CHDBits that´s released them as well and they were also among the first on the scene with the LOTR EE rips I believe. And for all those interested, yes, the blue tint is still there on all three films, much like the hdtv and dvd versions...

You can't compare the dialogue of the OT to the PT. A good part of the dialogue in the PT nearly derails completely the viewing experience for me, it's so bad. And the shame of it is, with a little effort, it could've been a lot better.

Anakin's acting was fine in Sith. People act like Mark Hamill was Daniel Day Lewis or something in the original trilogy. He wasn't. His "no" scream in Empire is just as embarrassing.

You have no idea what you're talking about. The CHD releases are of the OT - not the Prequel.

Look at the screenshots - clearly from the BD. CHD is a quality group.

I'm warming up a little to the watercolor look, I like the Tattoine setting, would have prefered Luke alone but understand why that wasn't an option.

I have a feeling it's going to look a lot better in person - shut up, you all know what I mean - than it does in pics.

It's hard to pick a favorite from such a lacklustre prequel trilogy. I'm partial to AOTC myself if I must choose one -- not a popular choice. Fav character from TPM? Watto . Looking forward to him in HD on a big screen. Other than that the podrace might be fun for the pretty colors. They didn't give us much to work with in these latter films.

They've already been proved to be not legit. So there's no sense worrying about it.

I don´t know about the prequel trilogy, I´m just talking about the original trilogy 720p blu-ray rips by CHDBits that have appeared online very recently.
