They are holding out for false hope that the UOT will be blu-ray bound.

I would love to see them on blu but it's time to move on.

Cool. Mr. Wood (the audio mix dude at Skywalker Sound) did a lot to make the impact of the audio more true to the original mix. He loves SW, and wanted to impress all fans.

BTW: He is the voice of all the federation droids in Episode I

I put my old 2004 OT and PT trilogy up at ebay for a 3 day auction at 29.98 or buy it now for 44.xx. Someone just bought it (now) for $44.xx. So that makes the upgrade to blu even easier for me to afford.

I was surprised that the DVD's held so much value with the blu's so close to coming.

Beast, I worked at the Edward's Plitt in Orange Co. Ca when Star Wars premired. A new sound system was installed because no movie (that I know of) had this kind of sound before. I know of stereo movies and the 5 channel sound that Tommy had, but THIS was different, AND LOUD! Some people actually complained! (Can you imagine?) Anyway, the scene where Luke and Leia swing across the chaism was VERY echo-e (is that a word?) and I remember the audience CHEERING to that sound effect! To me, it was the best effect in the movie, and while I have to wait until Friday to hear it, that effect is the one effect I had wished they would work on for this release! I think I'm excitied! At the Plitt, it seemed to bounce back and forth and back and forth and then all around the theatre! Too Cool!

You won't be disappointed - the sound is out of this world. Quite fitting for films set in space
