Blu-ray picture quality - Help!

Ok, first off i apologize if this is in the wrong forum but im new here.

When i play Blu-ray movies on my PS3 they look like garbage! I bought Underworld because this site said the picture quality was amazing and rated it at 4.5 out of 5. The picture looks way too fuzzy, grainy, static-y, etc... especially the darker scenes. There has to be somthing wrong because my regular dvd of Underworld looks better then the Blu-ray of it.

Im guessing some of my settings are wrong for my tv or PS3 but im totally stumped. I had noise reduction set to 'high' on my tv and was told that was the problem. Well, i set it to off and still no improvement.

Also, just to add, my hd cable channels look amazing and my PS3 games look amazing too. Only the Blu-ray movies look bad.

Heres my setup:

Sony Bravia 46 inch KDL 1080p
Sony PS3 80 GB
The PS3 is connected with the official Sony hdmi cable.

Thanks in advance for any help. I really want to watch hd movies and Blu-ray but this is killing me right now.
