True to a point. But it's also kind of hilarious when someone makes statements with no foundation which to build them on. Or continues to post in a thread when they have no interest in the feature being discussed. Well... I guess it's not so much hilarious, but just a wee bit sad.

I see your point but there are no rules where you can post. I have an interest in human behavior so though this is a Blu-ray site and a Ghostbusters thread, it gives me great interest how people act in forums.

I am guilty of everything I complain about. But as I bolded I do have an interest in this feature, my interest being what people discuss about a movie I do not want to see. This gives me perspective to if I might change my mind, so to say that if I am not interested as of now in seeing the movie I should not post here is silly.

Like minded threads are boring and actually we beg for differing opinions so our egos can get a good workout.

It amuses me when people say "Why post here if you do not like the movie or saw the movie" really?

We all have an agenda and when others do not fit in, usually we attack them.

Think about it...without differing opinions you would be sleeping.

I didn't read The Terminator thread, but I did read the review. The reviewer gave that one a perfect 5 star for picture quality. You'd think with that kinda score, there wouldn't be any debate if the picture quality was really THAT good.

Very true. But there becomes a point when well-informed discussion/debate evolves into someone taking glee in the annoyance of other individuals by continuously making uninformed statements. I hope most individuals on this forum realize what a waste of time that is.

In the Terminator thread, it wasn't whether the new transfer was good but, because of color timing, which transfer was correct.

Just watched the whole disc. Man, this is a fantastic transfer. Although I'm not familiar with the theatrical color/contrast and can't judge it in that respect, in other respects it is essentially perfection. Detail is superb where the photography allows it (and there's no attempt to squeeze it out artificially where it doesn't), the awful 80s grain never smears into compression mush, the image is stable and free of blemishes, and any use of digital touch-ups is undetectable. Basically, it looks like a high quality print of 1984 film.

The new 4k master looks great, i am very happy to have it be apart of my blu-ray collection.

It has been split out of the original file instead of re encoding it, you may need to use vlc player to watch it.

Anybody come across a video glitch issue right when the librarian turns around to see what's going on with all the cards flying out behind her. What happens is I get a major video glitch that goes to black, but with audio still playing fine for several seconds, then the video comes back for a second or two, only to glitch again for a brief moment, then back to the movie. I stopped there cause I wanted to report it and see if anybody else has had the issue. I got my copy through Amazon. Physically, the disc is pristine. Anyhow, I quickly moved around other chapters just to see and this transfer is noticeably better. Colors are strong, grain is there and correct. Now it just seems I need to return this for a new copy. Bastards!

No, the file is fine. Check to see if your disc is damaged or dirty.

Boy, the 2013 disc looks quite the improvement over the 2009 disc. No more blown contrast, and the colours look better. Will definitely be getting it.

Well, I went down on my lunch break to the local Fry's and picked up another copy. I didn't want to wait having to send the first disc back to Amazon. I'll test this new copy when I get home.

Bah! Ghostbusters is my favorite movie and I don't want to wait any longer for this! Amazon.ca did not deliver this time around (though I doubt it's their fault).

For any other Canadians eagerly awaiting this release, I know how you feel.

I chatted with customer service, though I doubted they'd be much help, and the lady(?) on the chat said that they are trying their best to get the product in stock. She upgraded my shipping free of charge (though it won't make a difference... I live so close to the warehouse, free shipping is virtually next-day anyways).

For reference, here's a paragraph from the email they sent me after the chat finished:

It is the maximum estimate to receive the stock from our supplier. We have already contacted the supplier to get the stock of this item and we're expecting to receive the stock soon from them. In situations like this, we have received the stock before to the estimates provided by the supplier. I hope this to happen in this case.
