Not necesarily. Some people can get Freeview but not Satellite HDTV due to objects in the line of site between them and the satellite. There may also be issues with people not being allowed to put a dish on their house (planning laws or whatever).

A Freeview HD & SD service would be able to have more channels than they would otherwise have (or better quality/higher resolution ones) if those people didn't sell off our frequencies.
