How do we expect to get any better than blu ray when the majority of people still arent buying blu ray? Its a shame really!! You can get a blu ray player these days on the friggin' cheap from Wal-Mart for like 60 bucks. That 60 bucks gets you 5 to 6 times the pixels of DVD, which in turn gives you a better home viewing experience. The best ever as a matter of fact. As good as the theater!!! I figured by now that blu ray would be kicking the crap out of DVD and its just not. That's why there wont be another optical format.
1. Bluray is not as good as the cinema.
2. It's 'people couldn't care less'
3. Millions of bluray players in people's homes suggest there is some interest there.
4. There will be another optical format.
5. They should stop making Rolls Royces because most people don't drive them.
6. We are the elite. (In terms of home cinema taste) What the sheep do will always baffle us.
7. Finally, maybe you should buy more blurays and enjoy them rather than knocking the format.
