I buy Blu-rays. I've bought hundreds through the Amazon links on this website, which they benefit from with their merchant agreement. But the few of us on this forum buying more isn't going to change the fact that yes, in hindsight, Blu-ray hasn't sold as expected. The world wide economy crash shortly after launch didn't help either. Neither has the way its been marketed, missed opportunity. The best thing about all this is the way these new TVs only seem to last about 5 years vs 20 for CRT, in a couple of years 4K TV sales, since PC Mag says its not a fad like 3D, should be great. I should need at least 1, maybe 2 by that time. And if there is a backward compatible player available then, I'll get them too.
