There are 2 tracks with commentaries. One of them is the same as on the DVDs.

And the new one is not a real commentary. It is only snippets of archive interviews etc. Pretty lame imo.

I have read the last 15 pages or so of this thread and man, it has gotten a bit childish (for the most part)

1,546 pages?? And I thought the LOTR thread was huge. First time I took a look inside, did I miss anything??

Seriously though, is there a particular page I should go to other than the first page which details George's latest efforts to increase his fan base.

So far I'm aware of the Nooooooooooo, CGI Yoda, blinking ewoks, and the Krayt Dragon call. Anything else??

Still don't get why in hell they didn't include the original uncut Theatrical releases which would have made everyone happy. The Complete Saga?? Dumbasses ....

Those commentaries made up of archival stuff are often fairly cool. Look at some of the Disney releases.

A lot of people are foolish if they think this set will get rip to shreds by reviewers.

You have pretty well summed up the best (worst) parts of this thread. Come back again next week after the set is released in the ole US of A and read what else is wrong with the movies.

Not a Bond fan. So I wasn't even aware of the nature of their commentaries. That's cool!

Noooooooooooooooo I wasn't referring to George as a dumbass really. I was referring to the fact that The Theatrical Editions were not included in what should be the definitve release as being stupid. Although George is the one ultimately responsible for this I suppose, so I guess in a way I was ...

Also count me in as someone who will likley buy this. Hummm, so who's the dumbass here?

Is it actually posible to have the exact same versions cleaned up for HD? Didn't they cut up the negetive to create the '97 editions?

The Negatives were sliced up to cut in the Special Edition footage for the '97 SE releases.

There ARE prints available to use as a starting point. But it's more about not wanting to release those versions.

I bet a high percentage who cancelled end up buying it in stores. Pre-Ordering sucks to me anyway, because it may take days after the release day to get the item unless you pay extra to get it shipped faster.

Picked up my European copy of the complete saga at HMV over the weekend. Let me just say that people willing to get over the new changes and take the plunge are going to be very happy indeed.
