The red, yellow, blue and green buttons on my PS3 remote ?

They are/will be used for Java games and functionality.

On the Sony remote for BDP-S1, when in menu for TVtype 16:9, pressing the blue button gives you the otherwise invisible firmware version number.

On the Blu-ray disc Weeds, the color buttons are used to manage bookmarks.
