Thumbs up Burnout Paradise Demo

Who has downloaded and played it? I am finding it lots of fun and considering buying it in January. The graphics are looking really nice and the control feels tight.

Big Burnout fan here but I'm not crazy about the direction they took with the street names and "find your own way" type driving in this one. I liked the more focused "missions" before.

damn demo froze on me, haha... only demo's that haven't froze on me so far are Timeshift, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank and Conan, haha

but this Burnout does seem very good tho, I like the graphics and all... not sure if i'd buy it but it does seem very cool.

i loved burnout over on the PS2. i dont know what happened with Paradise though. i found it glitchy. like... i hit a lamp post - it fell over onto my car - and when i looked at it, it was just floating in the air above my car. what the hell?
diddnt like the graphics much either... maybe its cause i had just finished playing uncharted for about 6 hours? i dont know.

None of that was really TOO bad, but its more the fact that theres no options menu in the game.
I personally could NEVER get used to the crappy controls they have set for the game, and as far as i can tell- you cant change them.

Come on! i want X to drive, and R1 to boost. or at least let R1 boost... thats the main thing. X should NEVER be boost. even in MotorStorm... luckily i could just change it over on MotorStorm.

Yeah. the controls and graphics killed it for me. im not a big fan of the "Open World" part either.

Seems like a 360 port... i dont know if it is or not.

I'm with you on the controls (I prefer using X for the gas) and I have to assume that they WILL be customizable in the final game. I think they were on prior burnouts if I remember correctly.
