very true. like maybe a rerelease of Troy, with bitrates that occasionally hit double digits? That would be nice.

IMHO, there are a lot of Warner titles that need to be revisited for Blu-optimization. 300 simply isn't one of them, but it sold well the first time, so Warner sees

You're probably right and I'm definitely *not* looking forward to that.

Anyway, as far as 300, if they're just adding special features I'll pass but if they release an extended or director's cut or something along those lines I'll consider it.

Just a quick update on Warner's upgraded 300 BD... the studio tells me this morning that it's set for release about mid-year in 2009, so about a year from now. Lots of new special features are in the works.

I will not be double dipping because this movie is only worth purchasing once, in my opinion.
