Default Guess the Hellboy II opening box office gross.

Was on vacation last week, so I missed doing the weekly thread for Hancock. So let's get going a little early this week. 3 big movies open this week. I'll do the poll for Hellboy II even though it's possible that Journey might pull out a win.

What do you guys think? How will these movies do next week?

Hellboy II currently 100% at RT
Journey to the Center of the Earth currently 86% at RT
Meet Dave currently unreviewed.

Alright, I'll give it a try:

Hellboy 2 : $40 millions
Journey to the center of the Earth: $25 millions
Meet Dave: $14 millions

I says it will be pretty close to my estimates.

Hellboy II- $26.9 million
Journey to the Center of the Earth- $17.8 million
Meet Dave- $8.3 million

None will lead the weekend box office, as I say Hancock will still be #1 at a $30.4 million weekend.

Hellboy 2: Mid 50 Millions
Journey: Low 40 Millions
Meet Dave (or w/e): probably mid or low 20 Millions

Hancock will be probably number 1 again. I say within 5 Million of Hellboy though.

Hellboy 2 previews just didnt do anything for me....the characters didnt look very cool....this is a rental then if i like it buy on blu...the first hellboy was cool....but the ending sucked...the purple monster was corny...and how it was defeated was lame....sorry...journey to the center of the earth looks better...

Hellboy is going to be in the $40's as it is PG-13. It will get a fair amount of attention from the teen crowd in addition to those who are fans. Meet Dave will probably be the worst of the three with Journey barely beating it. Both of those look pretty bad IMO.

I think the first Hellboy gained most of it's popularity after it was in the theaters. It got awesome reviews. and the second one is getting even better ones so far. Also, Del Toro is more popular than ever now and that will draw in a bigger crowd. All you have to do is read the reviews for this flick and everyone refers his name in the review. Del Toro this and Del Toro that.. most movies directors are not mentioned that often in a review unless they are well known or respected as a film maker.

This summer: Brendan Fraser invades the movie theaters! Perhaps we should guess how much a particular actor brings in at the box office. Brendan should be good with "Journey" and "Mummy III"!

I think it's ridiculous how they give him a 21 year old son in the Mummy 3, yet he hasn't aged a day in about 11 years... maybe they will explain that in the film... i'll definitely go see it... It's just odd is all.
