Actors who are considered these great talents, but you don't quite see it?

This guy may not be in the upper echelon of the greats, but I just don't understand how Mark Wahlberg keeps getting work. I remember him getting all sorts of accolades for The Departed and The Fighter and I just did NOT see it. Those were his best acting performances and the only thing convincing about his characters in either of those movies was his Boston accent.

My issue with Whalberg and by proxy Downey Jr. is they were both bad people and I know everyone should be allowed a second chance but something rubs me the wrong way that the two actors are currently sat on millions of dollars. It just seems so ass backwards to me that good, honest, law abiding citizens are barley able to scrape enough at the end of the month to cover their rent and convicted felons play around in kids franchises. Shrug. I know they are both well liked, and I'm probably going to get a stray "jealous" comment slapped my way but I think the point is valid.

Also a nod at DiCaprio, he's a great actor when given a director to... direct him but he's really not great when paired with a director who isn't good at directing the actors themselves.
