I have a feeling that Meet Dave will FLOP. I will actually would like to check the movie out, but the theater scene is just too crowded with great movies. Not much room for error this late in the Summer.

I saw this last night....and it was so horrible. I can't even give a real review of this because i was more worried about leaving, though my friends wouldn't let me. Huge Disappointment.

Disappointed? It doesn't sound like you wanted to go to begin with . Did you even like the first movie?

The Los Angeles Times gave it a great review and they hardly give any great reviews. It's funny. They didnt like Iron Man. I loved it. THey didn't like The Incredible Hulk. I did. Now they like Hellboy 2... I'm scared... what if they're wrong again.... AHhh, who am I kidding? I'm sure I'll love it. I'll be seeing it Sunday afternoon.

I'm sticking with 40-50 million.

Journey looks like it could be a lot of fun too...

Maybe I'll see it the week after Dark Knight... or maybe Dark Knight weekend because I know it's gonna be packed....

I picked 30 to 40 mil only because there is some strong competition this week. But I have been wrong each week so far...

See...thats my problem. I LOVED the first one, and wanted the second to be even better. I don't know...I feel like they were going for a much younger crowd with this one or something. I am 24, and went with two other people in their mid 20s, and as a group, we did not enjoy the movie at all. And it was the movie as a whole. The end was decent, but not nearly good enough to redeem the first 2 hours.

Hellboy II is going to get the crap kicked out of it by Hancock. I'm not saying this because I don't like Hellboy (I'm taking my nephew to see it this evening), or don't want it to do well. It's based on the simple fact that around me, this movie is only being shown on one screen. Hancock still has at least 2, maybe 3 screens dedicated to it over the weekend. Likewise, Journey and Dave are also stuck with just a single screen. Of these 3 new movies, I think Hellboy will do the best but unfortunately it will still be eclipsed by Hancock (which I don't really have any desire to see).

i think Hellboy will edge out Hancock... maybe a 30-40 for Hancock.. and 40-50 for Hellboy... 30-40 for Journey... 20 for Dave.... if that.

I think Hellboy II will do OK, but I think there's that "Dark Knight Anticipation" syndrome going around. I'm one of the many that are just waiting for Dark Night, and don't really ahve time to see Hellboy II this weekend.

I'll try and make it if I have time, but I think a lot of people are looking past this weekend and looking towards the next. $40-$50 mil sounds decent. I may also just wait for this on Blu.

Exactly. Even Norbit technically was successful in the box office. However, Norbit was advertised a lot more but looked horrible. This looks decent but advertised less from what I have seen. I think it might push 15-20m.

Just got back from Seeing Hellboy II. I highly enjoyed it. It is pretty action packed and has the same comedic elements of the first one. A new BPRD character is introduced and lots of good stuff comes out of it. I was a huge fan of the first one and was not let down at all. The ending much like the first one is great. I picked 70 million or more becuase that is what I hope it makes, it will prob be like 50 mil
