I had the light engine replaced, the digital board replaced, the analog board replaced, And would have had to have the color wheel replaced. finally they offered to replace the set with a new model.

Maybe it's not all models that have a slight bowing and bleed through but all the 2008 models I know of do. It also may be hard for some to see it at first but once you do, it's all you look for. You will notice an hour glass shape on 4:3 material and bleed through into the upper black bar when watching Bluray. The bowing is often more noticable on certain material.

I am sure Samsung will try to help you out but if time goes by and you hear nothing. Call back and ask to speak to a senior figure. Once I told the lady in charge I waited for basically two months to have my problem resolved she did the exchange on the spot.

All I know is Samsung is bad with DLP design. It's nice to have a slim TV but at what cost???
Just talked to samsung ecr and theyre setting me up for exchange. I mentioned that I heard this years models do the same thing as last years, of course theyre clueless about that! They said it would take 7-14 days for the exchange. who knows! so basically Im getting a different tv with the same issues, only a new lamp. they should be able to put out better dlps. the plus I see to l.e.d. powered is no lamp replacement. Im going to assume the exchange also comes with a 1 year warranty.
