Nope. So far only UK and AUS have had any movement in that regards. They have both released complete series sets. I got the UK set for $201 (after shipping and conversion). I doubt that any North American full series release will be able to compete with that price.

They were all $20-$30 on Amazon in the US a while back, which is basically the same exact price. Not sure why a future bundled collection like TOS got wouldn't be competitive with that price, assuming they do one.

True, but for international customers, that simply isn't the case. For me to have purchased all 7 seasons when Amazon.com had them on sale near Thanksgiving, it would have cost me $32/season before taxes, before import duty fees, before shipping costs to Canada, before currency conversion to CAD, and before currency conversion fees to CAD. I roughly calculated that it would have cost $39/season after all was said and done. That would have been roughly $273 CAD for the series at Amazon.com sale prices.

Like I said earlier, I was able to get the complete series set from Amazon.co.uk for $201 CAD after all fees and conversion.

Ah, I didn't notice you're in Canada. Sorry. Yeah that makes more sense. Glad you got a good deal.

I would guess a complete series bundle in the US would reach $200 eventually, but given the import costs and such I guess it would still be a lot more for you. How come you have to pay fees for that? I don't pay any import fees when buying UK stuff on Amazon.co.uk.

I'm referring to credit card currency conversion fees (2.5% of the purchase amount in CAD). This happens anytime I purchase in a currency other than Canadian.

Also, Amazon.com automatically adds duty/import fees onto orders coming to Canada. Supposedly this is to save the customer from being surprised by fees after the products arrive. However, to me, it just takes away the possibility of customs letting most orders slip through since most aren't valued high enough to make the import fee process worth the effort for customs.

Interesting skim-reading. I've been to Europe a dozen times and never had to pay anything. Always wondered what the "duty free" thing really meant. I guess there are upsides to living in the U.S. after all

Considering the U.S. is widely seen as the leader of the nations in the free world, that's such a strange thing to say.

Nevermind about that geopolitics BS, there are more important things - like Criterion and Shout! Factory

I've lived a lot of places and generally prefer European politics and lifestyle, but my wife insists on living here to be close to her parents. The U.S. has a lot of upsides too though, not bashing it.

Depends on what your definition of "free" is. I don't want to start a debate or anything but it seems corporations and the elite are the ones with true freedoms and rights

Do you take every statement so seriously and at face value? The emoticon at the end of his sentence clearly indicated that he was being humourous with his statement.

Also, you have opened a can of worms by offering an opportunity to start a flag waving pissing contest surrounding national pride on an international forum. This never leads to any positive outcomes.

P.S. Canada is clearly the best place to live!

I took the emoticon as delight at what the poster learned about international customs, not his comment about the U.S., but it's really rather beside the point as I took his comment less as an offense and more as a non-sequitur. Do you take every statement with such a lack of assumption of positive intent?

Thinking about buying this from Amazon. I have a giftcard that should cover a majority of the cost. Does anyone know if this is still shipping with slip?

If you are determined to have slips for each season you could always purchase each season off EBay per auctions that implicitly state the slip is included. Checking EBay just now there's even an auction that is just for the slips. See here. :-P

I actually purchased ST:ENT off EBay not too long ago, the auction specifically stating the slips were included.

That being said, I don't really care if a Blu-ray title I purchase includes the slip or not. I must admit though. These ST:ENT slips do look good on the shelf next to the other Star Trek Blu-ray titles I own that happen to sport slipcovers.

There is never a real answer to this question, ever. It depends.

I'm well aware of this. The asking was more to see if anyone had not received a slip. If that were the case I might have held onto my gift card. Seeing as no one has said they haven't gotten one, I might bite.
