Gta 4

After reading alot of good reviews..And it received a 10
i decided to get gta 4 a couple days ago
havent had much time so i never opened it up yet.
Well i looked around at what people have been saying and it seems like the game isnt as expected.
If i open it we all know that means i cant get my money back.
Just wondering what everyones thoughts are now that the game has been out a while...and if you sold it..or took it back.

Or if this is a game thats fun or definatly worth experiencing.
I plan on either opening & playing it 2moro since im off work. Or taking it back.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I got it the day it came out. got about 15 percent of it done and stopped playing it for a while. But i will go back to it on and off later. I think its a pretty good game. I wouldnt sell it because you get like 20 dollars.
i probably wouldnt say i would take it back...knowing what i know now. I would keep it in the collection.

I beat the game and Its def worth the experience .. it was a little overrated because of all the hype it got but it was a great game.... the story mode keeps you hooked and the online is a totally diffrent GTA world.... imo its a keeper all the way...open it up and enjoy

Let me warn you that when playing it, its difficult to see because its usually night and the tall buildings make it dark and hard to see.

Ok, since it is unopened, I suggest you take it and get your money back. Then use that money and rent it first. That way if you don't like it, you didn't spend $60+ dollars on and lose some money on a trade in.

Over rated.

It's basically 'go here, steal this car, kill him, bring me the car'.

That's it. Some missions are absoultely wicked (Like the robbing the bank mission), but don't really expect much of an amazing story, I mean, I had no idea that Nico would be robbing a bank, it was just a very random mission, and a BIG one at that, you need to be WELL equipped to beat that mission.

Rent the game, and see how you like it, I have it, I haven't beaten it because I got so bored because it was repetitive

Yeah that makes sense but...I live out in the boonies....i have a walmart and a cheeches pizza....blockbuster is 45 minutes from my house and sometimes its a pain to drive out there and return the game on time. So i usually always buy games without renting them. So far i have done a good job.

i like all those games....When i seen the review gave it 10 masterful i was like wow. and i like gta games but havent played them in a while...But yesterday i was reading some people didnt like it..and it was a big dissappointment...
So now that i have it...Just wondering what people that have played it honestly think...now that they know would they ever purchased it.
or take it back and buy a couple blu-rays

Anyways, if it was me, I'd take it back, and get another game, possibly MGS4?

This game has such a dark appearance plus the missions are too easy. Hardly any difference from the past GTAs

I think it's a ton of fun, but I never really played much of the old ones. I do think that MGS4 is WAY better and a better investment. If you're unsure, I say take it back until you have some way to try it out.

By the way, as far as the night scenes being too dark, I just adjusted the brightness level in the game settings and it's totally fine now.

It's DEFINITELY a game worth having. Is it worthy of the "10" reviews it got - definitely not. But it's the best GTA so far IMO. You need to get that and also get MGS4.

With GTA, just turn the brightness in the game menu all the way up - it's much better that way. The graphics aren't the greatest and it is repetitive, but there are MANY fun and funny moments that make it worthwhile.

I think it's useless and keep questioning why I still have it and havn't sold it, I presume due to only having that and COD4, though I never play it.

Just head to your local rental place and rent it. If you like it, kepp your copy. If not, take it back.

I loved it. But I think if your questioning it, you're predestined to not like it.

Mine still freezes constantly. Is anybody else still experiencing this? Was there a fix for it? I'm a little jealous that other people have already beat it and i can't more than 5 mins of game play at-a-time.

no mine never froze and all of my friends that have it did't have a problem either...not even before the update that supposely going to make the game run smoother...to me it was fine even before the update!! sorry man looks like you got a bad copy!!

I enjoy it, we just got a second copy for the other PS3 so the kids can play together online.

Just take it back and buy it here for 40.00..G money has a used copy

i had a problem with freezing on my old ps3. but that was not with gta4. but rb6v2. new ps3 now so problem fixed.

Got super lucky here, Rogers Video had an anniversary sale and was selling the previous played games at 2 for 40 bucks, so I basically paid 20 a piece for MGS4 and GTA4 lol.
