Default using lcd tv as a computer monitor

ok well my family is moving into a house soon and well i wanna trick out my room to be as sleek and slick as can be within my price range lol,anyways what i wanna do is connect my laptop to my lcd tv via vga cable and buy a wireless keyboard and mouse and use my tv as a monitor,would it be safe to do this,seeing as how my laptop is on about 8-15 hrs a day lol

my friend uses his samsung 650series as a monitor its the 50" model, its pretty sweet. He plays games on it all day so I wouldn't worry about it. He had a plasma and had to return that in like 2 days because of burn in.

ooh,yeah,i just thought i'd rather hook it up to the tv and be a lazy ass with the wireless keyboard and mouse on my bed lol

there will be no problem ,its almost 4 years that i use a tv as my monitor
2 years with a 42" plasma
1 1/2 years 46" lcd
2 weeks 60" plasma
with my 42 i played ddo almost 15/24 7/7 for a good year and a half

There is no problem with this - it will work fine
