True, for home cinema. If you want to setup after ITU norm for surround music you should shoot for (ideally) 5 identical speakers, all the same height and the same distance.

This is how it looks when done professionally (Skywalker sound):

Also true - I was stating for Home Cinema. It is however different for surround music and different for the type of rears you have (that's why I mentioned Bipoles and Dipoles). Good go!

Edit: oohhhhhhh 5 B&W 802's all around!!! Gremal?

I Love the stand. Where did you get it? Does it have ventilation when the doors are closed? I am looking for a stand for a 50" or 52" TV. My two Direct TV DVRs stay really warm all the time.

Thanks,
Bob

[QUOTE=dogger114;1077074]Here are some pictures of my home set up. Not as good as everyone elses but it does the job for my needs.

This is my bar that I built. And Yes I do have Guinness on tap.

That Elvis bust would scare the sheet outta me, A little tipsey and serving up some more Guiness.

Hey everyone thanks for the comments. Yes, I did get most of this from Magnolia, good people...and I will be back soon for sure!

The stand is made by Salamander, their Synergy line. They have quite a selection of them at Magnolia. Very breathable, good ventilation. Its a perforated steel grill on each of the doors. I can play xbox perfectly fine with door shut. That also goes for all electronic gear behind them.

I gotta get myself a PS3 for some bluray now!

I added a night pic. Its taken with a 5 year old 3.2 megapixel p.o.s., so it doesnt do the lighting justice. The conditioner lights are not that bright either, just looks that way from the angle. As for the windows on the other pics, yeah, during the daylight hours we have blinds that we can close for an almost night experience but im usually not around anyway! Great view of Lake Union though!

thanks again!

Default I love it, I love it, I love it!!

Love your setup, dogger114!!

Not sure if I like the theater setup or bar more...My two favorite things - movies and beer - - not necessarily in that order...

Long live Guinness, Murphy's, Smithwick's, Killian's, Beamish, and the like...

...and Guinness on tap...oh, heaven.

Default backlighting...see backlighting forum also

I like your setup rzareiser. I wonder how the lights affect the viewing at night...(due to the trees on either side dispersing the light in front of the tv). Is this a problem for you? It looks cool...just wondering. Should be getting my backlighting for my tv today or tomorrow.

There have been some very nice set-ups posted the last couple of weeks. Makes me want to get on the ball and finish mine.

Nicely done-- looks cozy. Did you change projectors though? The projector you have up is not an RS-1. It looks like an Epson 1080UB.
